About
Brett Moneta “is a complex personality, as are most of the small breed of modern day renaissance millionaires.”
Okay, so I’m not a millionaire and I blatantly “borrowed” that from Steve Martin.
Here’s my story in…some…of it’s boring detail
Brett Moneta is a marketing and web consultant with a strong background in several media. He can help you build or redesign your website or digital strategy on any scale.
He started as a radio programmer, video producer and scriptwriter, and finally ventured into marketing and web strategy.
In 1996, he was writing, directing and editing corporate video when he found the Web. It intrigued him enough to learn HTML and build a website that earned about $20/month. With financial security in his pocket, joined a local dot-com start-up. In just a few months, he doubled their audience. That resulted in an amazing opportunity with AOL when he led a team that pulled in 1,000,000 visitors a day.
As the web matured, he joined a mid-sized ad agency as a Senior Copywriter, building experience in national direct mail and print ads. He also worked on new business pitches in health care, logistics, entertainment and retail.
Moving back to the web, he managed a team of writers in a massive, high-profile web content project for Verizon. Soon after, he joined the high-profile firm Avenue A Razorfish as a Senior Content Strategist. At Razorfish, he worked on projects for AT&T, Nokia, Mattress Firm and HEB grocery. It gave him invaluable experience in web content strategy, usability, interactive marketing, information architecture, microsites and email.
He continued with Javelin Direct (Omnicom), becoming a Senior Interactive Copywriter and Interactive Thought Leader. He led monthly interactive seminars and worked on integrated print, web and email campaigns for AT&T wireless, broadband and U-verse, as well as projects for clients like TXU and Merck.
Finally, he ventured out on his own, working with the world’s top phone maker Samsung Mobile to completely rebuild their Intranet portal from scratch.
Presently, he’s looking to take the next step as a Web Strategist, Associate Creative Director, Marketing Manager. He’s also available for freelance consulting and copywriting.
